Instruction:

Here at Pitching Ace Pitching Academy, we strive to teach what the best major league pitchers do and what the best pitching coaches teach.

In what we have learned over the years, even major league pitchers have their flaws. Some of those are career threatening. For some, career ending.

Our intention, at the academy, is to learn from the best of MLB pitchers, as well as schools and academy’s designed specifically to teach the pitcher the proper way to throw a baseball and to keep each pitcher healthy.

We have been teaching pitching since 2002. Along the way, at least one of our pitchers has earned a college scholarship, and many are now in position to either earn a college scholarship, or to be drafted by a major league baseball team. The scouts are circling, as we speak.

We provide a relaxed and calm atmosphere in teaching the best of what major league pitchers do. Our results have been that the majority of our students stay with us from Little League, through high school and into college.

We are currently located at the David Valdez Baseball Academy, Medford, MA. http://valdezacademy.com , and are open for appointment.

Please call Skip Murray at (617) 999-8843.

Muscle Fiber Tears

It is normal that when you pitch, muscle fibers are torn. When you come to spring training, scar tissue adhesions have formed where muscles have been torn in pitching. What you have to do is to stretch those muscles out and break those adhesions. Even between starts, when the torn muscle fibers start to heal, you are going to have to stretch out some muscle fiber and get blood back in that area. This is why your arm feels extremely stiff when you first throw. The most important thing to do between starts is throw with your natural delivery. Don’t throw any differently than you do in an actual ball game.

"He knows what he is doing and knows how to teach it."
--- Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd, former MLB pitcher

""Skip Murray is an outstanding baseball pitching coach, working with my 10 year-old son. During the off-season, he worked very patiently with him for a 2 month period, carefully and persistently teaching each successive technique until the whole pitching process became second nature to him. The improvement in my son's pitching is striking. Not only did he add another 8 mph on his velocity(from 46 to 54), but he now uses his whole body in his wind-up and delivery. Skip has a calm, patient, easy-going manner which makes him easy for kids (and adults) of all ages to relate to, but he's more than just a nice guy. If you want to see results, and you want the learning process to be fun, then sign up with "The Professor"...aka Skip Murray...Thanks Skip!"
